I just wanted to respond to this.  There is definitely a dynamic here in 
which you either "toe the party line", or you are treated with the 
contempt usually only reserved for the elders of Christ Church.  Anytime 
you try to make what I like to think of as "reasonable statements" about 
the church (such as "maybe we should let them believe as they wish and 
leave them alone" or even "they aren't as evil as the skinheads") you 
are singled out by a few people (not everyone) as if you had just 
proclaimed Doug Wilson to be the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Himself.

I'm tired of it, truly.  But that's not the worst of it.  I'm also 
disappointed.  The people I thought would be the ones standing up 
against this kind of thing are the ones who are jumping on the bandwagon.
