[Vision2020] Hawkins protest

See the problem with the anti-business, anti-growth, anti-people, socialits in our community is that for every business, there is an excuse to keep it down. Wal-Mart, Naylor Farms, Archies, Hawkins, and a dozen more I am not mentioning.

They only will allow a 100% water free, 100% environmentally friendly, 100% non resource taking businesses in this town. The only such thing is called a ghost town, which is what Moscow and Latah are becoming. Without UI Moscow would have tumble weeds blowing across the doorways of empty buildings. It is already starting to look that way.

Hawkins is only moving across the boarder because this same group of anti-business job hating socialists killing our community through economic starvation have forced them there. It is still going to be Moscow workers in the Hawkins shopping center, it has to be Moscow workers because OBVIOUSLY Moscow workers cannot find work in Moscow when no new businesses are being allowed in and old ones are shutting down. Pretty soon it is just going to be Wal-Mart, UI, and Gritman.

If Moscow wants to be an environmentally sound, disabled friendly, resource contious, safe and healthy business center it has to realize that those things cost money. Let businesses make a profit and provide jobs, then slowely reqiure them to become more environementally friendly.

Those that protest EVERYTHING, EVERYONE, and ALL THE TIME, do this community a grave disservice. They destroy the ability of the people of the community to have jobs, they take away their dignity and self worth when a person cannot find a job to feed themselves or their family. Moscow residents, and Latah residents are leaving the community because they cannot make a living in Moscow, there are NO jobs. This 19675th protest of the week is an example of why.

But they don't care. They got their cushy government jobs, they don't have to make ends meet on a $6.50 an hour retail or food service job. If the city was on fire they would demand a public hearing on issuing a conditional water use permit and releasing an environmental impact study report before giving permission to the volunteer fire department to extingish it.

  Best,

The Hawkins development will be sucking water from a very limited aquifer (think underground finite pool) that Moscow relies on. To replace that water, Hawkins will be using the rights to water in a different pool. That is why Moscow is correct in protesting this shell game.
  This is a pro-Moscow decision, not anti-business.
I am very glad the city is looking out for our long-term best interests

A few questions for Moscow Residents:

Why is it that Moscow pursues policies even when they CLEARLY are destructive to the community? Such as not letting any business touch our horrible icky water?

Why is it that Moscow is anti-business?

Why does Moscow lynch mob any citizen that disagrees with the majority?

Why does Moscow say it is liberal, yet all city policies discriminate against Gays and Lesbians?

Why does Moscow say it is liberal, yet it doesn't even have adequate services, sidewalks, and programs for the disabled?

Why does Moscow say it is tolerant yet hates others in the community for their religion?

Why does Moscow want to reduce its population? Why does it want to not have jobs?

How long can Moscow survive with negative job growth and population growth, and continue to have revenues when its largest tax base is government workers who are paid only through the collection of taxes? Who are the producers in Moscow? They all seem to be leaches.

Just stuff to ponder as the University, Moscow, and Latah go to hell as our local Liberal Yahoos Leaches destroy the community by protesting everything that might put food on somebody's table and makes Moscow a community worth living in.

  Best,
