[Vision2020] Michael J. Fox interview

I am very aware of the problems of a major illness...I just don't believe
that the end justifies the means...as in embryonic cell research. And in
what I read the belief is that the answer won't be in those cells anyway at
lease that's what I read in stuff from other countries where any research is
available. There is a lot of research happening and a lot of it is in
Missouri at the state level where Fox tried to push a dem on people. And it
has been pushed by the republican in office and those in all the states
where the AD has played know the truth. The radio programs were flooded with
citizens of those states after Fox appeared on their TV's. For those who do
not read or listen to radio other than NPR Fox wrote a book himself after
his appearance before congress wherein he said he didn't take his meds to
put on a good show of the ravages of his illness. That's not right because a
lot of research and monies went into that medication and he should use
it...ALL the time. For Saundra, J Ford and others on this site that want to
make any post a chance to attack the individual rather than stick to the
substance it tells all of us much more about you...you have lost your
argument when you believe you have to use that means for your end. These
illness are a very complicated subject and for anyone to try to push us into
something so Dr Mengles is just not something I am willing to let happen. I
more than understand wanting to get the illness to just go away with the
taking of just one more pill but it just isn't that easy for any illness. In
one of the Star Trek movies the crew is looking for someone in a hospital
and as Bones goes down the hall he stops to talk to an old woman who tells
him she is waiting for her dialysis. His line is "what is this the middle
ages" and he give her a pill...just one pill! And sure enough she gets so
much better the hospital personnel know it immediately. This is the pill I
would like for my sons but it just isn't there yet and I am not willing to
sacrifice people to help them. I have son on the kidney transplant list
right now and I want you to just try Just Try to understand how hard it is
to pray for him to get a new kidney. That means that some one some where has
lost their loved one! I just cannot be that person who wants so much to save
her child that she would take some one else's any where any time. Understand
Saundra...oh yes I understand. I watched my mother who was a paranoid
schizophrenic and the effect of her medications on her body. I also how they
actually helped with her illness. I know about many illness and their
mediations problems just how much more do you need to know that I am
speaking from experience not just emotion nor from any 'programming' from
any group.

Hi Pat,

You wrote:
"Did you read the book wherein Fox was the first to say that he had played
with his meds to put on a good show?? People with Parkinson's were incensed
when they heard he did it! Rush didn't make it up...Fox did!"

What are you talking about . . . what book? Do you know ***anything***
about Parkinson's??? Do you know what the medications can cause???

Unfortunately, I have all too much experience with Parkinson's and I'm
frankly shocked at your post. Just keep feeding the the absolutely
unfounded rumor mill all in the name of your GOP, Pat -- it tells us a *lot*
more about you than it does about Michael J. Fox.
