[Vision2020] The death penalty....a deterent!!!!!

Tony says, "The answer is no, it is the UNJUSTIFIED taking of life.  Those 
being executed know damn good and well that it was the unjustified nature of 
their act for which they are being punished."

This is an odd statement, since he acknowledged earlier this month that 
innocent people would die with the imposition of the death penalty.

How are their deaths justified?  How do they 'know damn good and well that 
it was the unjustified nature of their act for which they are being 
punished?'
