I disagree, revenge is a major motivator, Joe, even if it costs the person greatly, studies have shown this. Most of us have someone we would love to get back at but we hold ourselves back, and usually let it go. I think Mr. Metzler has a huge debt with Mr. Wilson that he wishes to pay back. He sees the fact that a former member of his church being a criminal as an opportunity to attack Wilson and his church, as has Keely, Joan, Rose, Debbie, Tommy, and few others, especially when the crime is so heinous. I don't say this out of speculation, I say it as the fact that Mr. Metzler has stated on line he feels betrayed by Mr. Wilson from his past experiences ("knife in the back"), and even created a website dedicated to hurting Wilson, called Pooh's Think.
"But let's not dismiss his words under the banner of "political agenda." A similar attack is open to each of us."
I don't think so Joe. We always have to question people's motives and political agenda. Someone that has dedicated a website, written negative articles about someone, and states they have felt personally betrayed by the person, comes forward with another statement, you have to take what they say with a pound of salt. We should always be upfront with our political agenda, otherwise people don't trust you. If your political agenda is honest, you should not have to hide it.
If these people's real intentions were concerns for the welfare of children, they would be discussing ways to prevent child molestation and provide help for the victims. Instead, we are discussing the church the person attended, there school, place of residence, and third parties that knew the perpetrator of the crime, as though someone is guilty of a crime by association, or the church, household, or school provided information and support of the crime. If any one person should be attacked for the crime, it is Steven Sidler.

You should meet with him and talk with him in person and you might change your mind about his motivations and character.
Michael and I share similar concerns about our community and even hold some religious and philosophical views in common. But generally our religious, philosophical, and political veiws are quite different. It makes it difficult to suggest that there is a "hidden agenda" here.
I have genuine, substantive concerns about my family and my community, concerns that motivate my actions. I think Michael's actions should be understood in the same way.
It is fine to ignore what Michael says, or to disagree with points that he makes. But let's not dismiss his words under the banner of "political agenda." A similar attack is open to each of us.
