[Vision2020] Airport, something to think about

I would think that a couple of the problems would be the number of consumers and the airlines themselves? Since last year, Delta flies to Salt Lake out of Lewiston. You can connect to just about most places you need to from Salt Lake. To get to Boise, the only choice Horizon/Alaska Airlines gives us IS out of Lewiston. Unless your destination is Seattle or your connecting flight is there, why use the Moscow-Pullman airport? (strong emphasis on Pullman!). I would think that transportation would be driven (no pun) by the number of consumers. Perhaps we (Lewiston &/or Moscow-Pullman) don't have the numbers of consumers to attract other airlines and flights.

This was before the new highway up the hill was built. The Lewiston City Fathers were opposed to it. They thought that it would take business away from Lewiston. Since that time some of the major airlines have pulled ot of Lewiston, It is now serviced by only small airlines as is the Moscow-Pullman Airport. Spokane is the closest major airport. A regional airport on top of the lewiston hill would benefit the Lewiston-Clarston valley the Camus Prairie and the Palouse. This could be an International Airport with major anilines. It is time to bring this proposal back.
