[Vision2020] Public statement of protest regarding Michael Metzler's slandering of the CREC and COTK

Hello folks,

I want to apologize for having my Vietnam spill over into this community
list. You probably guessed it: Witmer is Wilson’s most loyal and
consistent apologist on the world wide web. As always, we will likely
have a response to this, but I’m not sure if this is even necessary.
Witmer’s lack of honest is made apparent at the very beginning. He
writes:

Lacking my own blog, I would have responded to Michael Metzler directly,
off-list, if I had felt that I could trust him to manifest fairness and
charity in his dealings with me, but I am unable to maintain any such
trust in him. Posting to this forum is cheaper and easier than taking out
an ad in the Moscow-Pullman Daily News.

This is plain silly. Every time Witmer has asked me to post something he
has written, I have complied immediately—but for one time when the post
had nothing to do with something I wrote and contained primarily a
private email from me. Witmer knows he could have posted this to my web
site (although I’m glad he didn’t since it is so unhelpful). Thus, Witmer
disqualifies himself in his very introduction to speak to any of this. Go
figure. And I certainly have always dealt with Witmer in a equitable
fashion.

I was expecting Witmer to produce the letter he has, as well as its
author. In defense of the claims he disputes here, a friend of mine has
already published an email, in full, from the COTK that directly
contradicts Witmer’s claims. So I don’t know what more further needs to
be said at this time, although we will likely have something more coming.
(I note that I do not alwasy take full responsibility for what others
post at my site; although I see nothing untrue in what has been reported
so far; I am happy to make corrections whenever they are appropriately
and sufficiently pointed out. I note that the COTK has not offered any
disagreement with our reporting of their experience.)
