You probably guessed it: Witmer is <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Wilson</st1:place></st1:City>’s most loyal and consistent apologist on the world wide web. As always, we will likely have a response to this, but I’m not sure if this is even necessary.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Witmer’s lack of honest is made apparent at the very beginning.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>He writes:</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Lacking my own blog, I would have responded to Michael Metzler directly, off-list, if I had felt that I could trust him to manifest fairness and charity in his dealings with me, but I am unable to maintain any such trust in him. Posting to this forum is cheaper and easier than taking out an ad in the Moscow-Pullman Daily News.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">This is plain silly. Every time Witmer has asked me to post something he has written, I have complied immediately—but for one time when the post had nothing to do with something I wrote and contained primarily a private email from me.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Witmer knows he could have posted this to my web site (although I’m glad he didn’t since it is so unhelpful).<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Thus, Witmer disqualifies himself in his very introduction to speak to any of this.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Go figure. And I certainly have always dealt with Witmer in a equitable fashion. </P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">I was expecting Witmer to produce the letter he has, as well as its author.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>In defense of the claims he disputes here, a friend of mine has already published an email, in full, from the COTK that directly contradicts Witmer’s claims.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>So I don’t know what more further needs to be said at this time, although we will likely have something more coming. (I note that I do not alwasy take full responsibility for what others post at my site; although I see nothing untrue in what has been reported so far; I am happy to make corrections whenever they are appropriately and sufficiently pointed out. I note that the COTK has not offered any disagreement with our reporting of their experience.)</P>
