Pat,
You seem to be confusing being a good at being a "good ol' boy" and
being good at a job. Jack is fine "good ol' boy" but he not competent at
his job. There is no excuse for his lack of interest and lack of action
and anybody who can discern the difference between "good ol' boy" and
doing a good job would see that clearly. You can personally like him
and think he is a nice guy, but that doesn't mean he has done a good job
as a commissioner. Furthermore, I encourage you to point out anything I
have said that is untrue. I've seen him in action in other situations
and I've even worked for Latah Health Services--what is it that makes
your perspective more true? If it was up to me, I'd recall him for
incompetence. Being a commissioner is more than socializing; it is hard,
sometimes technical work. Jack can't handle the technical part but he is
good at the social. Unfortunately for Latah county, it is the technical
part that is most important. Too bad for you. Too bad for me. Too bad
for Latah county. Next time let's make sure to elect someone who has
technical AND personal skills.
Jim

I hear a lot of ranting and raving on this site from some of you about LHS
and the county commissioners. What I have not seen is anyone of you so
willing to discredit one of the the commissers is an action. I know jack
Nelson very well and I do not believe that this is not taking a toll on him
as well. If just one of you made for a sit down with him you might get the
whatfor, wherefor and why instead of lamenting untruth, gossip and rumor on
this site.
