I found some time to check in real quick:
 
Joe Schmoe (his chosen name) posted the following.  This was put under the
new category of "what??" 
 
"Unbelievable, This morning I came on your forum because I thought I could
shed some light on something that had you in a tither. What's funny to me
now is that just because you have chosen to make a statement, you now feel
due a response from Mr. Hoffman. Interesting. And I'm being questioned about
if and where I go to church? I'm sure you'll all be disappointed to know
that I sleep in on Sunday mornings. So if I'm not a member at C.C. what will
you all do?  Joe"







This seems to be, at least in small part, a response to my recent note to
Joe, which was in part the following:
 

"Thank you for your human and rational approach to the act of communication.
However, I think it would be good if you just confirm that J Ford's claims
are false, since it seems you apparently know. Also, if you can confirm
whether or not you are connected to Christ Church in any way, I think this
would be very helpful, given comments such as "able to find something in my
history that might not prove to be near as clean as the people who attend
C.C. and I've seen what's been done to them." This will come as a surprising
comment if you are not connected to Christ Church in any way.  I must
confess as well that your unwillingness to use your real name is a bit
troubling."

I would still like to know if you are at all, in any way, affiliated with
Christ Church.  Your original statement gave the appearance that you have
been following the various "controversies" enough, including lurking here on
V2020 for some time, to understand the people at Christ Church and what's
been done to them, as well as formulating your own assessment of the justice
of what has been done.  But then in response to some further questioning,
you act surprised that folks would want to know if you are affiliated with
Christ Church.  These two things don't mix very well in my opinion.  I would
really like to know your real name, just because I think non-anonymous
posting is far better than anonymous; but if that is not possible, it would
still be helpful for everybody in their interpretation of your strong vouch
for Christ Church to know if you are in any way at all affiliated with
Christ Church; this could be by family, education, unique theological
beliefs, occupation, close friendships, affiliation with associated
institutions such as Trinity, the CREC, etc. The purpose is obviously not to
label you (I have many friends that fit this criteria), figure out if you
are religious, or to know if you are sleeping at 10 am on Sundays.  The
purpose is purely evidential and hermeneutic.  It would help assess the
significance of your strong vouch for Christ Church, as a possible unbiased
outsider looking in at all this, as you seem to make yourself out to be.
