Visionaries:

I applaud Nate's desire to learn more about the candidates. Although he is
not a candidate, perhaps this is a singular opportunity to expand the
dialogue. Could it be that Nathan's gesture will prove to be a veritable balm in
Gilead to heal our community?

With that happy premise in mind, I hope that Nathan will respond on Vision
2020 to the following questions. I have tried to frame them in the same spirit
of humility, sincerity, and general good will that he modeled.

1. Property tax issues are of special interest to me. Please substantiate
your claim that counties throughout Idaho ignore state law and grant
unmerited property tax exemptions to non-profit organizations. We both know, Nathan,
that Idaho code allows apportionment on some kinds of non-profit properties,
but with very specific limits. Churches, church owned office buildings, and
schools (except for public charter schools) by statute are required to be
used exclusively for their intended purpose(s) in order to be granted property
tax exemption. _http://www3.state.id.us/cgi-bin/newidst?sctid=630060002B.K_

2. How many elders, deacons, and congregation members of Christ Church or
Trinity Reform operate boarding houses without the required conditional use
permits? What impact do these boarding houses have on neighboring property
owners?

3. What is your understanding (the corporate you, which includes the other
civility seeking citizens) of John 8:1-11? Is this a lesson about
compassion and forgiveness, or, is Jesus urging us to publicly condemn and humiliate
those who stumble?

4. You ask ""Do you believe that the Vision 20/20 e-mail forum is a good
reflection on the City of Moscow?" I ask if Dale Courtney's blog, "Right
Mind" _http://right-mind.us/blogs/default.aspx?GroupID=3,_
(http://right-mind.us/blogs/default.aspx?GroupID=3,) Ed Iverson's Daily News column, and the
church magazine, Credenda Agenda _http://credenda.org/_ (http://credenda.org/) are
 good reflections of Christ Church?

5. Do you think sending out a bogus email under the signature of a
university leader is an example of a computer crime, or is it similar to
(hypothetically speaking) a high tech opportunity for Trinitarian skylarking?

6. What circumstances/events have created the impression that the
leaders of Christ Church are racist, disdainful of the law, and patronizing to
women? Do you personally favor the application of the stoning or the exile
solution for gay and lesbian people?

Cordially,
Rose Huskey
