[Vision2020] Economics of Business and new development

If not retail then what?
We have a university here that graduates a large number of students each
year, how many stay?
Here's a "what if" scenario:
What if a couple of UI grads decided they had what it takes to make
"bio-diesel" commercially? What if they wanted to build a refining plant
here in Latah County, because of the availabilty of raw material?
Would they be allowed to pursue their dream here and at the same time create
jobs and give farmers another outlet for thier product?
Sadly, my guess would be "No"
Wouldn't it be nice if we could keep some of that brainpower that's
graduating from the UI and WSU right here, employed in the private sector?
At quality jobs, not just as baristas at the 1,500 java joints in this town.
