It's amazing how far this topic is off from the
original posting. Pat, you're right that Dr. Laura
chastised the APA and that it was a public relations
nightmare for them. You're wrong - as was Dr. Laura -
about the APA's postion on pedophilia. And Donovan is
just out of control.
So - back to the original post - the APA made a
recommendation that homosexual marriage should be
legal. Pat wrote, in effect, that legalizing
homosexual marriage is a slippery slope of immorality
that would lead to the legalization of man/boy
relationships. Why? Opposite sex marriage is legal
and yet that hasn't led to acceptance of relationships
between man / underage girl and woman / underage boy.
Pat - can you explain this? I'm not dismissing you.
You've written that the legalization of homosexual
marriage will lead to acceptance of pedophilia. I'd
like to understand your premise that legalizing a
relationship between consenting adults would somehow
lead to acceptance of child abuse. How does one
scenarios - where there is no victim - lead to
acceptance of another scenario where this is a victim?
