The Washington Post reports, in a March 20, 2005 article titled "Congress
Steps In On Schiavo Case":
"In a memo distributed only to Republican senators, the Schiavo case was
characterized as "a great political issue" that could pay dividends with
Christian conservatives, whose support is essential in midterm elections
such as those coming up in 2006."

It is becoming apparent that Congress' involvement in Schiavo family matters
is not based on ethics or morality. Terri Schiavo is nothing more than a
political "football" for the 2006 election games.
Take care, Moscow.

"What is objectionable, what is dangerous, about extremists is not that they
are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say
about their cause, but what they say about their opponents."
