As everyone else has said, I found this message absolutely
disgusting. Seeing someone use Wil's murder makes me sick.
I contacted First Step about this when the message
came through this morning, as the message originated
from someone using their service.
At first glance it seemed that the message came from a
DSL subscriber, which would be easy to track. First Step
suggested that it may have actually been from a free wireless
hot spot. I've asked them to tell me where that specific hot
spot is located, or help me with their policies on giving out
this kind of information. I'll keep the list posted on what I find out.
I'd also like to be clear that there's no practical way for First
Step or a business providing a hot spot, to monitor or control
what kind of messages people send.

It should be quite simple to identify the culprit, or at least where
the
e-mail was sent from.
First Step Internet should be able to take the date and time of the
e-mail
and determine the IP address of the computer that originated the
e-mail.
How about it First Step?

Subject: [Vision2020] The Wil Hendrick bogus ID routine
Actually, the post by the bogus ID that uses Wil Hendrick's name to
cast
falsehoods has crossed the legal line as well. The statements are
actionable and they are also potentially criminal.
I happen to know this, because some pretty nasty nonsense was thrown
my way
here that was similarly actionable according to my atorneys. I
checked with
them and they thihk that in this case the message by 'Wil Hendrick'
ID is
criminal since it threatens a public official over the course of his
duties.
Ms. Ringo might want to see if her political connections can get it
turned
into the State Patrol. Its not that tough to trace the bogus ID
back to its
ISP and find the party who wrote the threatening email.

PS I chose not to bring action against the questionable individuals
who
chose this and other forums to spread falsehoods and lies in an
effort to
smear me. It was simply not worth the hassle. But this one seems
pretty
clearly to be worth having somebody put a stop to that sort of
nonsense.
