[Vision2020] CALL for ARTISTS

CITY OF MOSCOW SEEKS ARTISTS
   

  The City of Moscow has issued a Call for Artists for a public art project to be located in South Couplet Park at the south entrance to the community.  The Mayor's Heritage Project has four goals as outlined by Mayor Marshall Comstock: 1. to pay tribute to our heritage; 2. to enhance the south entrance to the city; 3. to welcome visitors to this part of the Palouse; and 4. to highlight the downtown district.  

   

  $23,000 has been budgeted for the project which must include all design, fabrication and installation costs.  Applications can be obtained by calling the Moscow Arts Commission at 208-883-7036 or by forwarding a mailing address to dheath at ci.moscow.id.us.  An on-line copy is available at www.ci.moscow.id.us/mac.  Deadline for submission of applications is August 26.  Up to three finalists will be selected by September 2 and proposals will be reviewed on October 5.  A final artist will be selected by October 14.
