[Vision2020] Governors New Clothes

Tim,

First, it is not just conservatives that oppose the bond levy. I would
support lots of bond levies. However, I do not support spending money for a
new high school when it is the Junior High and West Park Elementary that
needs the money. We also need to repair our downtown fire department and
build more low income housing. If you want to make a levy that would
address those needs I would help you go door to door to support it. But I do
not vote for tax increases just so we can expand government and build
buildings for the sake of building more buildings and expanding government.
There needs to be a reason to do that.

Second, although I cannot stand our governor, he does not have the power to
FORCE the legislature to pass legislation.

Third, roads are important. Safe roads are very important. Try to get
anywhere without them. UI has lost many students on our horrible unsafe
narrow roads.

I agree with you on the war, finding a cure for cancer and AIDS and valuing
all people regardless of their profession.

Take Care,

Donovan J Arnold
