[Vision2020] The Ever-increasing National Deficit

In December of 2000, the Congressional Budget Office projected a cumulative
budget surplus of $5.6 trillion from 2001 to 2010. Of course, as we know
now, that was based on the stock market bubble continuing for ten years.
Remember "Dow 48,000"?
Remember the NASDAQ breaking 5,000? "Where are the snows of yesteryear?"

Yes. There was a $5 trillion surplus in 2000. Remember the debates between
Gore and Bush concerning what they were going to do with this surplus?
Remember how Bush promised the American people that he was going to social
security with a large portion of this surplus and how he was going to unite
the American people?
