As much as I consider the photos to be reprehensible, I also feel that the
threats to post the photos around the neighborhood to be a simple
interrogation tactic.
I do not consider the threat to pass the photos around the neighborhood to
be a criminal offense or in violation of the Geneva Convention.
But, then there are the photos themselves . . .

According to Seymour Hersch this morning on NPR (you can catch it around
730 again), the pictures were taken so that the prisoners could be told
'We'll plaster these around your neighborhood,' (I'm paraphrasing).
