Dear Vision2020 readers:
If we lower our demand for oil, would not the price fall?
Drive less. Walk. Ride a bike. Take the bus. Plan excursions to town to
reduce the number of trips taken. Do not drive for pleasure. Use a
motor vehicle for business, and necessity. Get rid of the gas guzzler
at the nearest opportunity. Replace it with an economy vehicle. Find
other outlets for pleasure. It is up to us to change our habits. No one
is going to solve the problem for us. Common sense consumption should
prolong our oil supply. Demand for economically reasonable and fuel
efficient means of transportation will drive R and D to provide
alternatives which will solve many of our pollution, economic and
infrastructure problems looming in the near future. It might just be
that the world would be a nicer place with smaller, less polluting
vehicles which are driven less. Be conservative!
