tim and others, i heard richardson say on tv the other night that he was 
emphatically against the vp slot of the democratic ticket.  landrieu does 
not really offer any weight to the ticket, like a democratic version of bob 
dole's useless pick in jack kemp.  breaux is very feasible though, and would 
balance kerry's northeastern, old money, patrician air.  i agree that kerry 
needs a red-state person, so i think that your suggestion of gephart would 
be his strategic best bet.  plus, the round orange countenance would balance 
well with the long face and gray shocks.
