[Vision2020] And it's not even funny . . .

Dear Friends:

If I were a minister who'd just spent an evening teaching on "The Sin of
Homophobia" in a widely-advertised local lecture, I think I might have
refrained from publishing a not-very-funny or well-designed homophobic joke
in my magazine--unless I wanted to appear both hypocritical and homophobic
at the same time.

Doug Wilson, in the latest *Credenda Agenda:*

"The reason Episcopalians can’t play chess any more is that they have
forgotten the difference between a bishop and a queen."

Oooh. My side. It's splitting. There's just nothin' funnier than calling
clergy members by degrading and homophobic names. And since Episcopalians
are so well known for playing chess, it's a particularly apposite joke, too.

Homophobia--it's a sin, unless you can get a cheap laugh with it.
