[Vision2020] the navigability of bikes?

Visionaries,

Can the word navigable be applied to bikes? Earlier
today I claimed that bikes are more navigable than
cars; I have since been wondering if that statement
made sense. Webster says that navigable can mean
"capable of being steered," which bikes technically
are, but I can't recall seeing or hearing of anything
except rivers, roads, and the like being navigable. In
any case, I meant to argue that bikes can be
maneuvered better/easier than cars. Maybe one of the
English professors (or just someone smarter than me)
out there can enlighten me...
