[Vision2020] New church

Um, Carl, from my experience with golf, it usually results in me
uttering expletives that would not be proper in a church setting . . .

Besides, a golf course is a waste of a real sweet motocross track.

The religious debate on this listserve got me started on a spiritual
quest, 
which serendipitously ended last night when I ran across mention of this

church in a book that was given me as a present.  Unfairly, the
description 
of this church was prefaced with the distinction of being "the most
unusual 
church", which I find unfair.  It was called the Church of Pure Liberty,
and 
it was based in Japan.  I did a Google search on it this morning, and 
unfortunately, it appears to be defunct.  However, I believe I'll revive
it 
right here in Moscow.  The basis of worship in this church is......Golf.

That's it.  Since I'm starting it back up again, I declare myself to be
the 
Omnipotent Yet Benevolent Ruler of All Who Follow Me.  Or, the acronym 
OYBRAWFM.  Our motto:  To Par is Human, to Birdie Divine.  Joan, I laugh
at 
YOUR church.  I urge you to join me and together we'll see the Light at
the 
End of the Fairway.  Together, we'll gain entrance to the 19th Hole.  If
you 
repent and join me now, I'll grant you a free mulligan.  We must unite, 
before our town is overrun by croquet players, or lawn dart players, or 
whatever.  Now go forth and bogey no more.
