This is a reminder that our monthly Insurance & Surety Committee call is scheduled for Monday, September 16, 2019 - beginning at Noon (Eastern).  Attached for our call are the following: (1) Agenda for Monday's call; (2) the July and August Meeting Minutes; and (3) the presentation for Monday's CLE and a corresponding article on the topic from our speaker. Our speaker for Monday's CLE will be David M. Knapp, Esq., and his presentation is called  "More Confusion Regarding the 'Damage to Property Exclusion.'"  Mr. Knapp's presentation will cover the ongoing debate over the meaning of the phrase "that particular part" in the "damage to property" exclusion in standard commercial general liability (CGL) policies, including a recent 10th Circuit Court of Appeals case.

Mr. Knapp is a Partner with the firm, Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy, LLP, and he is based out of their New York office. Mr. Knapp's experience covers a broad array of coverages, including general liability, excess/umbrella, pollution, builder's risk, auto, property, employee dishonesty, professional, tech E&O, and cyber. He counsels clients on insurance coverage issues, performs detailed policy and insurance program reviews, drafts insurance procurement requirements in contracts and subcontracts, and works with insurance brokers to optimize coverage for clients. Mr. Knapp also frequently speaks and writes on insurance coverage issues, including as an Expert Commentator for the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI).
