Attached is a proposed revision to the unlawful detainer statute, which takes out the jury instructions and cleans up  the statute up.  Please advise if your committee has any comments.  This has nothing to do with HB 305 which your committee commented.

Rick Taylor and myself worked on this revision. The reason I started on this was to eliminate the right to trial by jury if you only request possession.  I could not gain a consensus with the Problem Study Committee that it would be Constitutional to eliminate the right to trial by jury.

I anticipate this being presented to the Executive Council for approval in July.
