CLC’ers,

First, I want to acknowledge that we are going through an unprecedented (in our lifetimes, at least) pandemic that has sent many of us to shelter in place at our homes and to work from home out of necessity to protect ourselves and our fellow citizens.  So first and foremost, I hope all of you are safely sheltered, healthy and well-stocked for a long quarantine.  And while we are certainly not any more “essential” than the health care workers who are on the front lines fighting to save lives, let us not forget our responsibility as a profession to care for our fellow citizens in the ways available to us as members of an ancient and honorable profession.  We will doubtless have many opportunities to assist others in the coming weeks and months during these unsettling and uncertain times.

With that said, this is your reminder that our next monthly CLC conference call and CLE is this coming Monday, April 13, 2020, starting at 11:30 A.M.  Our speaker for Monday’s CLE will be our own Cary Wright, Shareholder with Carlton Fields, whose presentation is entitled “Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act.”

Attached are the following: (1) the agenda for Monday’s meeting; (2) meeting minutes from our March 16, 2020 meeting; and (3) Cary’s PowerPoint and information fact sheets for the Paycheck Protection Program enacted under the CARES Act.
