[WSBARP] re-record to correct deed - cross out old recording number?

I leave everything on the old deed the same except that I make the correction and annotate the top under the "return to" block with something like this: "rerecord to correct legal description." With a proper coversheet on the top of others, I think this is the way to go.

I'm re-recording a certified copy of an old deed in order to correct a typo. Should I do anything to the old recording number and REET stamp on it? Cross them out, white them out, leave them alone? I'll attach a recording cover sheet to it.
