Dear All:
I'm sure one or more of you have seen this before. Granddaughter and her Husband purchased a home. Grandmother and Grandfather cosigned on the home loan with Husband (Granddaughter was, for reasons not yet clear to me, not on the loan). All four are on title as joint tenants with right of survivorship. Granddaughter and Husband made the first few payments on the loan but started falling behind. Grandfather died, leaving everything to Grandmother. Grandmother, now 80 years old, has reportedly made many payments on the home loan. Grandmother does not live in the home - she has a home of her own.
Grandmother wants out of this. She feels she is being abused and does not want to continue to fund this expense.
Who amongst you is willing, capable, and available to advise Grandmother and help her extract herself from this debt?
I will pass along all names. Thanks.
