Interesting. I always read RCW 64.80.100 to imply that contingent beneficiaries were not permissible, because multiple beneficiaries would take with a concurrent interest. But I went back in the archives to Summer 2014 edition of the newsletter, attached for reference. Al Falk's article mentions alternate beneficiaries, and the template actually includes Alternate Beneficiary language. So perhaps contingent beneficiaries are permissible on a TODD.

See RCW 64.80 Uniform Real Property Transfer on Death Act – I believe it allows multiple beneficiaries including contingent ones.
