[WSBARP] Dumb question re tax sale

Listmates.  I have a pro bono client that is about to get their house sold at a tax auction.   Not sophisticated people and somehow their 2022 and 2023 taxes were not paid but 2024 and 2025 taxes were paid.   Normal sad story of him in hospice and her disabled.   My dumb question is if a bankruptcy would slam the brakes on this sale?   Seems like it would but the government has so many exceptions where the law does not apply to them I can't be sure.  Anyone with Banko knowledge that can fill me in?   Thanks, Craig
