[WSBARP] Time Shares

Hello list mates,

The dreaded time share question!  I am the attorney for a Trust and the Trustee says the Decedent had a time share.  Nobody wants it and Decedent had no children.  It is in California and the deed is in Decedent’s name.  Of course the time share company is being difficult and won’t take it back and keeps charging fees to the Decedent.
There are so many scams with companies that will say they will get rid of a timeshare so Trustee doesn’t want to go there. Everything was in Trust (except the timeshare) so no probate needed to be opened.

Any suggestions?

Second, please see the attached correspondence signed by Ryan Montgomery, Liberty Upton, and myself. This is a letter in support of HB 1375, a simple piece of legislation that fixes the Washington Estate Tax inflation index issue. This bill would fix it, and adjust the exemption amount to what it should be had the pause never happened.

We want to get as many supporters of this legislation as possible. Reason - we need to convince Chair April Berg to give this bill a hearing, and then also to show our support.
