[WSBARP] Amending CCRs for a Common Interest Community

Dear All:

The CC&Rs for a community under development were recorded in 2007.  All lots have long since been sold.  The HOA wants to amend the CC&Rs to reflect this fact, remove reference to the Declarant (the developer) and related provisions, and to the extent possible, delete unnecessary provisions, streamline the remaining provisions, and translate the whole document into "plain language."

As a part of these amendments, I would expect that changes would have to be made to the CC&Rs as necessary to conform with Chapter 64.90 RCW.  Please correct me if I am wrong on that.

Also, if any of you have gone through this process with an HOA, would you be willing to take my phone call so we can discuss some aspects of this endeavor?
