[WSBARP] Referral to LLT Attorney (Pierce County)

Colleagues,

This is cross-posted.  Apologies if you receive it twice.  One of my clients needs to speak with an attorney who practices LLT law.  He is currently under contract to purchase a property in Puyallup.  The PSA is conditioned on the Seller evicting a tenant who runs his business from the property.  Unfortunately, the Seller attempted to handle the legal matter himself (twice!) and didn’t follow requirements of the UD statute.  Both UD Complaints were dismissed without prejudice.  The Seller decided to matters into his own hands and turn off the power, remove the tenant’s personal property, etc.  Not surprisingly, the tenant filed an anti-harassment petition and the court entered a protection order prohibiting the Seller from having contact with the tenant and/or coming within 1,000 feet of the tenant, his residence, and his place of business (the Puyallup property).  The Order specifically allows third-party contact related to a UD action.

This is a dumpster fire, but the land is valuable to my client.  He is evaluating whether to proceed with the purchase (with a price adjustment, of course) and handle the UD himself.  I’d like to refer him to someone who can help him evaluate the risks, costs, and time involved.  If my client elects to proceed, he’ll need to retain someone to assist him with the UD as well.  That’s not in my wheelhouse.
