Dear All:
I am in the process of updating/redrafting a Real Estate Contract for the sale of vacant land; I represent the Seller. I am particularly concerned in this case that the Purchaser will just use his interest in the property as collateral to obtain money for other development projects, and then forfeit on the Contract. I already know that, under RCW 61.30.100, forfeiture would wipe out any interests in the property that are subordinate to the Seller's interest, but I would like to take a "belt and suspenders" approach to protecting my Client.
Although I've already got some language in my draft Contract regarding liens, etc., do any of you have examples of lien provisions for Real Estate Contracts that you would be willing to share with me?
In advance, thanks for your help here.
