[WSBARP] Background Check on Prospective Tenants

I am the counsel for the Rental Housing Association of Washington (RHAWA.org), which operates a screening service for its members.

I am also counsel for a number of independent screening companies, if anyone wants to contact me directly, I’d be happy to make recommendations.

FYI, I agree that out of state service may easily run afoul of Washington and city specific regulations.

I don't have current experience with those services, but out of state services may not be familiar with our restrictions on screening for criminal convictions.  If not the owner of the property, but rather a manager doing the screening, probably better that they don't have access to conviction information, IMHO.
