Seems to me you should be able to get clues from public acquisition docs - deed, REETA, any secured loans taken in connection with purchase, etc. There should be escrow or title co. fingerprints.

Subject: [WSBARP] Title Insurance lookup
Colleagues,
Is there a way to look up which insurance company wrote the most recent title insurance policy for a property? I have a property with a title problem where both owners on deed are deceased and heirs have no idea where the original policy documents went. Thanks for any advice you can give.
Best,
Nick
