I have been working with a number of property transfer matters in France-my clients haven't had to be there to sign; instead, they have granted power of attorney to their representative there.

You will likely need to confirm this, of course.

I have been working most recently with a "Notaire" in connection with succession issues and real property, and the sale of real property-all in France. No actual transfers yet through him, but I'm sure he could help you out.
And I've never tried to speak with him in English so you may need to stick to email communications using a translation program. Otherwise I will be happy to reach out to him on your behalf.

I would appreciate a referral to someone versed in French law As I have a client who is a US citizen and resides here wishes to gift property in France to his daughter who of course is also a US citizen and resides here and was told he has to go to France in order to complete the gift. Thank you
