[WSBARP] New Home Construction - Damages

PC contracted to have their new home built. Contractor walked off job
before home done but after being paid 72% of the contract price. PC hired
subs to complete work. The total amount paid is approximately 30,000 over
the initial contract amount. In any claim against the first builder, I
assume in calculating damages, you deduct the amount left due, but not paid,
under the initial contract? Is this correct.
