This is background material that explains property tax exemptions for King County for disabled and seniors, so may not be precisely what you are looking for. A few Washington counties have also adopted a procedure to delay payment of first half taxes, and a possible payment plan for those impacted by COVID-19, although you have to go to your county’s tax assessor web site to see what they have to offer. There is no uniformity, from what I understand.

Subject: [WSBARP] Property Tax relief for disabled seniors

Hi again brain trust -

I feel like I've been reaching out to our collective knowledge and experience more often than usual. However, I think COVID-19 work from home status may be leaving me (and probably others) feeling a little more "alone" than usual. So I deeply appreciate all the help that this listserv has provided!

I have a client who is 69 and disabled. He has reached out to me and asked if there are resources for him to have property tax relief. I know King County has programs available but this is not really my wheelhouse. I'm also not sure if it is the best use of his resources to have an attorney handling these matters for him. Does anyone have any recommendations or resources I can point him to? Does anyone handle these matters that I can refer him to?

As always - thank you.
