[WSBARP] Lost Codicil

A few years ago thanks to this list, I found some authority (it may have been an out of state law review or case,  I can’t remember, that said the original codicil Re-publishes the original will and the codicil was therefore all we needed to file with a copy of the will attached... and the judge said OK .

  I’ve been successful having the attorney who prepared the will, or the witnesses, or one of both or any combination of the above to a Declaration of Lost Will.  If the PR has knowledge of the lost will he/she can also do a Declaration.  I have not had any problems getting a copy of a lost will admitted to probate with some combination of these documents.

  Estate Advisers:



  I did a Codicil to a Will and the client lost the original but I have a copy of the fully executed Codicil.  Client has passed and the son wants to probate the Will with the Codicil.



  Is it enough for me to do a "Declaration Re: Originality of Codicil" or something like that? 



  Is there key language?
