I don't know if he'd take this kind of work, but my go-to construction guy is Adam Bungay, adam at bungaylaw.com<mailto:adam at bungaylaw.com>. He is a lawyer who also has substantial experience in the industry before and after law school. His rates may reasonably compare with a professional inspector, with the added benefit of knowing how to hold the GC accountable legally for any defects.
