Listmates, I once worked with a process server who told me that there is a WA case where the person to be served yelled through a residence window to "just leave the documents on the porch" and the court said that was effective service because the server was acting on instructions from the person to be served. Anyone know of such a case? I was unable to find it, if it exists. I have a tenant avoiding service but we got tenant to agree that landlord (actually a third party) could leave the documents on the "front porch and under the mat." Any help?
