[WSBARP] Heirs - Trustee Abuse

Garl,

I wonder if someone can petition the court for appointment of a guardian ad litem? In King County the court would have required that a GAL be appointed when the probate was opened. But who would have standing to bring the action? Presumably the children’s parents are unknown as well. Who brought it to your attention? Are there any other beneficiaries of the trust who would have standing?

I am curious to hear what others think.

Trustee appointed in Will has for years refused to accept substantial funds under a mandatory buyout provision for land. (Court proceedings ongoing.) Location of children is unknown; probate file does not indicate that they are represented. Trustee acts as if the property interest is his.
