Was the nephew adopted away before or after the will was effective?

Although I send many thanks to Rob and Judy and others who suggested TEDRA or family settlement agreement, the problem is two beneficiaries who are not family and do not feel the love…

So the question remains, is there a legally defensible definition of “nephew” that will get us there???
