[WSBARP] successor liability

Good Morning All,

Can anyone speak to the rules regarding successor liability when banks merge (or one is acquired by another)?  I understand the rules as they apply to businesses generally, but can't tell whether it's the same for banks.

Specific authority would be greatly appreciated.
