We can open 1 probate for both H&W in Spokane County, but not sure about King county. If you don't get a response, ask the JA in exparte. I have had the clerk's office try to tell me you cannot do this, to be told later by the JA that you can.

Subject: [WSBARP] probating husband and wife's estates
H&W have died and both estates need to be probated.
Do I need to open two separate probates? Or could I open one probate under the caption of "Estate of H&W"? Or open one probate under a double caption? And do I pay one filing fee or two?
Probate will be in King County. Appreciate any comments.
