[WSBARP] Electronic Sigantures (Docusign vs Adobe Echosign)

Good Morning,

As both a broker and attorney, I started with DocuSign back in 2009/2010. I still have that account and really like their product. The NWMLS contracted with a competing service Authentisign and it is now basically built in to our forms on the NWMLS. Except in short sales, which usually still requires "wet signatures" (scanned, faxed, but not electronic), my office uses these services whenever possible for all legal and real estate matters. As to clients being technologically challenged, you are setting things up on your end (document layout, where they initial, sign, etc.), so there really is very little for your clients to do. Most of my clients are able to get with the program but some are not. All I can say is, oh well, I tried.

What is the consensus on using either of those services for general legal agreements (fee agreements, etc) for a small practitioner? As a 'dirt' practitioner I'm familiar with Docusign for my real esate broker clients. (e.g., problematic for technologically challenged clients). Thinking of catching up with my broker clients.

Thanks.
