What is the import of missing information on a Revocation of POA due to
the non-conforming document being recorded?

A client of mine asked me to record the Revocation of a POA that her
father had previously executed in favor of one of her siblings.
I believe another family member prepared the Revocation. It had margins
of about 1/2" all the way around. The recorder's office accepted it,
with a surcharge for a non-conforming document. However, I think I read
somewhere that information outside the margins may not be scanned in.

Does anyone know if the only consequence of narrow margins is the $50
surcharge? Or, will the text outside of the margins not be visible in
the public records?

To be a valid a revocation of a POA that was recorded, the revocation
must also be recorded. If the Revocation is defective because everything
in the margins is missing (like parts of words, the date of notary
expiration, would this Revocation still be valid?
