Thanks, Mark. I think the PR here is just being slow.

Subject: Re: [WSBAPT] Beneficiary Entitlement to Estate Details
When I represent a beneficiary and the PR or PR’s attorney becomes resistive to providing a basic accounting, I start wondering why.
A beneficiary can file a petition for a report of affairs of estate under 11.68.065 and cite the fact that the PR was unwilling to provide an account absent a court order. I have never understood why, in most cases, this would be a problem if the PR is doing his or her job – which is basically bookkeeping.
* Estate Bank Statements
* Account Register
* Receipts
* Settlement Statement (if real property sold)
* Copies of bank statements as of date of death.
* Time log
Basic stuff I tell my clients to have in order for us to prepare the Declaration of Completion and Distribution or a formal motion to distribute and close.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Beneficiary Entitlement to Estate Details
A Beneficiary is demanding that the Personal Representative provide him with exceptionally detailed information and documents related to the finances of a probate estate. Outside the context of a TEDRA demand for accounting, what is the extent of the Personal Representative’s obligation to provide such information and documents to the Beneficiary?
Thanks.
